I would like to think that people could eat like this all the time but, honestly, I don't see how it is practical. I'm not saying that caffeine, sugar and fats don't add to people's stress levels but in a world where multitasking is no longer considered a skill but a requirement, those unhealthy types of food are the easiest and often cheapest foods to turn to. Plus, it is not like vending machines in offices are stocked with fresh fruits and veggies.

However, as much as I think it is not practical, I also think it is what is needed for this country. You are completely right: people get stressed, they turn to unhealthy foods for comfort, those unhealthy foods make the gain weight, they get more stressed, eat more and so on. I know companies like Kashi are trying to make healthy foods more available and are ready-to-go but you can't just eat three Kashi bars a day and be fine. It wish the obesity problem in America could be solved by just telling people to eat an apple or carrot when they're stressed instead of drinking a frosty or venti americano but I'm afraid it is going to take a lot more effort than that. Hopefully, the stress problem in America will also diminish if the obesity problem does too.
